We are a small farm business that specializes in providing home grown beef for individual customers who desire to know where their food comes from and how it is raised.
We raise cattle naturally. There are no antibiotics or growth hormones added to our cattle. They are fed a vegetarian diet, being pasture fed, with hay and some grain during the winter. Our cattle are bred to Piedmontese bulls to produce steers that are naturally low in fat and cholesterol.
PIEDMONTESE CATTLE
The Cowman Cattle Company has recently invested in a small herd of Piedmontese cattle. What that means to our customers is that they are getting a product that is not only naturally raised, but genetically lower in fat and cholestorol. Piedmontese cattle have a mutated gene that allows them to grow more muscle tissue. They have less connective tissue, which means that the meat is more tender. BREEDING STOCK FOR SALE
We currently have breeding bulls for sale. These are are both full blood Piedmontese bulls and full blood registered Gelbvieh bulls. For pictures and more information about these bulls, just click on the "Breeding Stock For Sale" Page icon in the right column.
